Zia Mohyeddin spent his childhood in Kasur and Lahore. Later, he received training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London from 1953 to 1956. After making his theater appearances in Julius Caesar and Long Day’s Journey into Night, the veteran Actor made his West End debut in A Passage to India at the Comedy Theatre from 20 April to 3 December 1960.
Zia Mohyeddin gained recognition for his role in Lawrence of Arabia (1962), where he played Tafas and made his producing debut. He had a fever and severe abdominal pain. Later ultrasound revealed that he had some intestinal issues. Following the surgery, Zia was shifted to the ICU ward of the hospital.
