After the ceremony, Harry left in a blacked-out electric BMW to go to Heathrow Airport to return to California, where his son Archie was celebrating his fourth birthday. The royal family, including Queen Camilla’s grandchildren, appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, but Harry was absent.

According to reports, Prince Harry did not make eye contact with his father, Prince Charles, or his brother, Prince William, and sources say that William “hates” Harry. The Duke of Sussex had flown into London from California on Friday on American Airlines flight AA136.

According to Omid Scobie, Harry’s biographer, he had minimal contact with his brother since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, but there has been a regular conversation between Harry and Charles. Scobie also said that Harry intended to attend the coronation but was still determining if he would be invited.

Scobie dismissed claims that Meghan Markle, Harry’s wife, decided not to participate in the coronation because it was on the same day as son Archie’s birthday, saying she did not want to overshadow the proceedings.

The news of Harry’s seating position came after an attack, allegedly sanctioned by the king, was launched on him by Nicholas Soames, the king’s reputed best friend. Soames told Times Radio that Prince Harry’s behavior towards his family was “the most tragic” and “the cruelest” if it had been done to him.

Harry’s public humiliation came after reports that he and Meghan were evicted from Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. According to Scobie, Harry spoke to Charles about the imminent eviction. Prince Harry’s relationship with the royal family has been strained since his move to the United States and his interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made several allegations against the royal family, including accusations of racism and a lack of support for Meghan when she struggled with her mental health. The couple has also spoken out about the pressures of royal life and their decision to step back from their roles as senior members of the royal family.

Prince Harry’s seating position at his father’s coronation and absence from the balcony at Buckingham Palace indicate that the royal family still considers him an outcast. Despite reports of regular conversations between Harry and Charles, it is clear that the relationship between the Duke of Sussex and the rest of the royal family is still strained.
