Kim Zolciak Biermann and Kroy Biermann’s Marriage Crumbles After 12 Years: Kim Seeks Primary Custody and Spousal Support
Kim Zolciak Biermann and Kroy Biermann‘s marriage has ended after almost 12 years, as reported by TMZ.
According to court documents obtained by the publication, Zolciak-Biermann stated that their marriage is “irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.”
In addition, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star has requested primary physical custody of their children, joint legal custody, spousal support, and the restoration of her maiden name.
The date of separation has been listed as April 30 in the filing. The couple tied the knot at their Georgia home in November 2011, and their wedding preparations were documented in the first season of Don’t Be Tardy, which aired from 2012 to 2020 for eight seasons.
The show evolved to focus on Zolciak-Biermann and Biermann’s daily life with their tight-knit family, including their four children and Zolciak-biermann’s two older daughters, who were legally adopted by Biermann in 2013.
Although the show has ended, Zolciak-biermann’s return to reality TV has been teased as part of The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s 15th season, which premiered on Sunday.
In the past, Zolciak-Biermann has denied reports of trouble in her marriage with Biermann. When rumors of friction surfaced in 2016 after Biermann was cut from the Buffalo Bills, the reality star said that the reports were “s—” and that she had “the most incredible husband in the world.”
Zolciak-Biermann has also recently experienced financial difficulties with the foreclosure of their Georgia mansion. However, she previously denied the foreclosure and sale rumors.
