Gisele Bündchen Donates USD 1 Million to Combat Childhood Homelessness Crisis in Florida
Supermodel Gisele Bündchen has decided to focus on philanthropic work to combat the rising issue of childhood homelessness in Florida. The Brazilian beauty recently announced a generous donation of USD 1 million to the Miami branch of Lotus House, recognized as the country’s largest shelter for women.
As a result, Lotus House has begun constructing a new, innovative facility called The Children’s Village, which will cater to the specific needs of the younger generation in the community and continue its mission of preventing homelessness in the region.
Gisele’s donation will go towards funding the new playground in the village and additional programming within the facility. The supermodel’s motivation to donate such a significant amount was her belief in the importance of building a stable community for children, especially those who are vulnerable and in need. Gisele expressed her excitement about the playground, explaining that it would benefit children’s physical health and improve their social interactions and self-esteem.
Lotus House began assisting those in need in 2006 and has grown from just 34 beds to serving over 10,000 women and children. Today, the shelter has an exit rate of over 80%, significantly higher than the national average. Gisele’s donation will contribute to Lotus House’s mission to provide a haven for women and children in need and help them escape homelessness.
