Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk Amicable Reunion at Met Gala

Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk, who amicably co-parent their 6-year-old daughter Lea De Seine, met at the Met Gala on Monday night in New York City.

The ex-couple was seen having a private conversation at the event, captured by a photographer, as other attendees mingled around them.

Earlier in the evening, they had walked the red carpet separately, with Cooper donning a classic black tuxedo and aviator sunglasses.

At the same time, Shayk wore a silky off-white gown and matching ballet flats. This year’s theme was “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” which paid homage to the late Chanel creative director’s legacy.

Cooper and Shayk began dating in 2015 and welcomed their daughter in 2017 before ending their relationship two years later.

They kept their romance and child out of the spotlight throughout their time together, preferring to make only a few public appearances.

However, despite their split, the two have remained on good terms and even vacationed together last August. They were also seen affectionate while out in N.Y.C. in November and reportedly spent Thanksgiving with their daughter as a family.

In April, Shayk was seen hanging out with longtime friend Leonardo DiCaprio and some friends at Coachella’s Neon Carnival event in California.

On the other hand, Cooper was last linked with Huma Abedin, a former aide to Hillary Clinton whom he reportedly dated for a few months last summer after being introduced by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

Despite attending last year’s Met Gala separately, Cooper and Shayk have been hanging out more together since Cooper’s split with Abedin in November.

A source close to Shayk told PEOPLE that she “very much loves” Cooper and feels “very proud how they have been able to get along and co-parent their beautiful daughter.”
