K-Pop Star Moonbin of ASTRO Found Dead at 25 in Apparent Suicide
The K-pop community was dealt a devastating blow after reports emerged that popular boy group ASTRO’s 25-year-old member, Moonbin, was found dead in his Gangnam-gu, Seoul apartment. South Korean news outlets have reported that the police believe that Moonbin took his own life, and an autopsy might be conducted to investigate the cause of his death. On April 19, at around 8:10 pm KST, Moonbin’s manager found his lifeless body and immediately called the police.
Although Moonbin’s agency, Fantagio, is yet to confirm the news, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station confirmed the reports and stated that the idol was found dead at his residence. The sudden and tragic loss of such a young star has left fans and the K-pop industry in shock. To pay their respects, Moonbin’s fans and loved ones can visit his mortuary, which has been set up at the funeral home of Asan Hospital in Seoul.
Moonbin had recently made a comeback with ASTRO’s unit group with Sanha, making the news of his passing even more devastating for his fans as they mourn his loss.
