Hailey Bieber Reveals Mental Health Struggles, Justin Bieber Supports Her Through It All
Hailey Bieber, the wife of pop star Justin Bieber, has opened up about her struggles with mental health on her Instagram Story. In a post on April 19, the 26-year-old model admitted that she has had some of the “saddest, hardest moments” in her adult life since the start of 2023. She also acknowledged that many others are likely experiencing similar emotions. A source close to the couple has revealed that Justin has been deeply affected by his wife’s emotional struggles and has been doing all he can to support her.
Hailey’s admission came after speculation of a feud with Justin’s ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez. In January, Hailey and her friend Kendall Jenner posted a since-deleted TikTok video in which they lip-synced the words, “And I’m not saying she deserved it, but I’m saying God’s timing is always right”. Fans speculated that the clip was directed at Gomez, who had recently received body-shaming comments in response to a swimsuit photo. Hailey later denied any negative intention behind the post.
Rumors of a rift between the two women escalated in February when Gomez defended her best friend, Taylor Swift, after a clip resurfaced of Hailey pretending to gag while discussing the “Delicate” singer on Drop the Mic. However, Gomez later took to social media to squash the feud rumors, saying that Hailey had reached out to her and revealed that she had been receiving death threats.
Hailey and Justin have been open about their respective health scares during their marriage. In March 2022, Hailey was hospitalized after experiencing “stroke-like symptoms,” while three months later, Justin revealed that he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which resulted in temporary partial facial paralysis. Hailey has since shared that both she and Justin are “doing OK” health-wise.
